Katie's love for dance was inevitable, considering there was a dance studio in her backyard! Katie is classically trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and modern. She has won numerous competitive awards, high placements, and tap scholarships from the Dance Masters of America. 

 

In 2007, she traveled to Shanghai, China, as a member of Team USA to participate in various parades and performances at the International Cultural Festival. 

 

Katie graduated with a bachelor's in Health Science and a Minor in Spanish from Worcester State University. While at WSU, Katie was a member of the competitive dance team. Katie also went on to receive a bachelor's in nursing from MCPHS.

 

Katie has been teaching dance for over ten years. She works full-time in the medical ICU at Umass. Katie and her husband Dan reside in Auburn with their son Leo and four dogs. They are welcoming a baby girl to their family in the fall!
